I am sorry to tell you that the hawk Steve rescued did not live. They were able to give it water at the 'wild animal hospital' but the next morning it was dead. They think it had been ill for a long time and had not eaten in a long time either. They think it was a hawk not usually seen around here, a
Northern Kestrel. Although in searching for information, I can't find a listing for such a bird. The American Kestrel is too small, and the Northern Harrier, doesn't have the right markings. I guess it will just have to be a mystery.
